Pola Malandain
Pola is a French citizen living in Vienna. Before returning to where she truly belongs - the workshop - she worked for major consulting and high-end craftsmanship companies around the world.
She sees knives as both subtle and versatile. Among the oldest tools known to humankind, they remain some of the most essential. Knives embody a perfect harmony rarely found in other objects: delicate yet sharp, loyal yet dangerous, polished yet rugged, feminine yet masculine.
Fascinated by the symbolic and transformative power of the blade across cultures and ages, she wishes that those who use her blades will do so with care - to cut through what must be cut, so that life may flow freely - and she has made it her life's motto to:
“Cut what's no love”
When she makes knives, she feels at home.
